Promoting Art to Wear Since 1991

The Wearable Art Connection was founded in 1991 as a non-profit organization dedicated to exploring all avenues of wearable art. Marlene W Daughtrey served as the organization’s first President and built a strong foundation for the advancement of wearable art.

The Wearable Art Connection sponsors quarterly meetings on the third Saturday of February, May, August and November. Nationally known guest artists present programs and workshops on topics ranging from quilting to dyeing, textile painting and surface embellishment.

The quarterly The Wearable Art Connection programs are designed to appeal to the novice, professionals and everyone in between. Learn a new craft, advance one you already know or just be inspired by the incredible creativity being presented. Ample time is available before the meeting and during lunch to visit with old friends or make new ones, and sharing is the theme of the day.

Our membership includes many award winning artists in the field of wearable art, talented teachers in the fiber arts, dyers who make you want to learn everything they know, gifted weavers, sewing experts.
