The
artists in the exhibition, using a DECORATIVE FRAMEWORK to create their unique works of art, are influenced by nature,
theatre, abstract geometric design and technology. They use PATTERN to not only create interesting rhythms, but to
also act as a media for commentary: both personal and social. ORNAMENTATION
and DECORATION are ways of expressing the rhythms of nature while FANTASY is a way of exploring internal themes,
dreams and mythology.
| "FEAT OF CLAY" EXHIBITION |

|
As in
arts and crafts movements of the past, technique is a major emphasis. But rather
than focus on technique, the exhibit is divided into visual pattern and decoration themes.
Technique is relegated to the opening introductory display so that the viewer can become fully acquainted with the
techniques before entering the main exhibit. Upon entering the exhibition,
the viewer is free to experience the emotional and visual impact of these universal graphic elements of PATTERN & ORNAMENTATION.
